Village to Village was founded in 2011 by Ryan Sullivan, a student at Vanderbilt University originally from California. After spending several summers volunteering in Southeast Asia, he returned to America inspired by the warmth of the people he met throughout his travels, and passionate about creating a mechanism for sustainable development.  After seeing many communities across Southeast Asia that did not receive much needed attention from other large nonprofits, he created Village to Village as an agent for continuous change in these isolated communities. Ryan works with Ched Suphadee, a medic and veterinarian, who handles the day to day operations in Southeast Asia and has provided the local knowledge that has allowed Village to Village unparalleled access to the remote communities in which we work .  Since 2012, Anna Maybach, another student at Vanderbilt, has worked closely with the Village to Village team and has provided invaluable developmental support.
